Seniors' Section

Welcome to the Cainhoe Wood Golf Club Seniors Section! My name is Keith Springham and I am delighted to be the Seniors Section’s Captain for 2022/23.
The Seniors Section is open for entry to anyone over the age of 55 and offers the opportunity to play golf socially and in various competitions with players of all abilities. Players must have played in a qualifying competition on at least 3 occasions within the previous 12 months before being eligible to win any prizes in seniors’ competitions.
All competitions are available to enter on the IG app which is available for download at https://cainhoewood.intelligentgolf.co.uk. If you need any help with the IG registration process or with downloading or using the app please speak with a member of staff in the pro-shop who will be able to help you.
On Mondays we have a roll up competition and this costs £1 to enter. 50% of this goes to charity and the remainder goes to the winner and runner up.
On Wednesdays there is either a major competition or a medal competition. Entry fees are £3 for non-trophy comps and £4 for trophy comps.
There are various other events including inter-club matches, singles and pairs knockout, Guest Day, Seniors Captain’s Day, winter league and specific charity events, all of which are published in the Cainhoe Wood club diary in addition to the IG app.
All new senior members receive an introductory email from our Handicap secretary. However if you would like any further information or help with any aspect of your involvement within the Seniors Section, please do not hesitate to contact me at seniors@cainhoewoodgolf.co.uk or through the IG app messaging facility.
However you intend to enjoy your golf, the Seniors Section extends a warm welcome to you, so please come along and get involved.
